Maple Syrup

Along the hedgerow

Yes, we sell our syrup and other maple products (such as maple cream and maple candy) when we have them! We typically produce between 100 and 150 gallons of pure Vermont maple syrup per year.

Why buy syrup from us? At Oxbow Farm we use the traditional sugaring methods. We don't concentrate our sap and we boil on a wood fired evaporator. We are happy to take more time and make the extra effort because we find that you can taste the difference.

In the quest to maximize output and therefore profits, most of today's large scale commercial maple syrup producers take shortcuts. They first use a reverse osmosis machine to concentrate the sap and then an oil fired evaporator. In the process, something is lost.

Try our syrup, still being made the way it was before modern technology sped things up. We are proud to offer pure Vermont maple syrup that tastes the same today as it did 50 years ago. How sweet is that?

If you are interested in purchasing our syrup, please email us and we can give you a shipping quote. Or better yet, get in touch and stop by the farm to pick it up!
